GLCCA Gives Back to The Chicago Ice Hockey Classic

At GLCCA, we believe that our role is to provide benefits for the greater good of our association members as well as our community. With this in mind, we were thrilled to be a sponsor at the recent Chicago Hockey Charity Classic, which took place on August 4, at the Fifth Third Arena.

The event, which is in its third year, was an All-Star game that benefited the Special Olympics. It featured current and former hockey greats from both the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago youth hockey. Some of the roster of players included Kendall Coyne-Schofield, Josh Pauls, Brandon Pirri, Vincent LoVerde, Ian Cole, and Vinnie Hinostroza. In addition to an action-packed afternoon of hockey, the event helped build the skills of area youth hockey players with a pre-game clinic. A silent auction also featured a variety of coveted offerings on which to bid.

Being involved in important community organizations such as the Special Olympics, which got its start in Chicago, allows the GLCCA to demonstrate our commitment to helping build our local communities. This is what we are all about, giving back and helping others to be successful. In the end, this is why associations like GLCCA are so important as we seek to work together to grow awareness and build partnerships for the collections industry
